Tires: Tire Size, stock tire size, size tire

Hi Barry,

I have 2 questions.

1.  I have a 04 Maxima SE.  In the summer, I have 245/35/20's on my vehicle and the ride is great.  Are there any benefits to going up to 255/35/20?  And also, do you know if this will rub since I am adjusting the width of the wire from about 9.6 inches to 10.0 inches?

2.  The stock tire size is 245/45/18.  I have found that I can  get tires at about $75 cheaper per wheel at 235/50/18, would you advise going with this size tire?

1)  I can not tell you if the 255/35R20's will rub.  Those folks who have that info guard it carefully.  But going up in size generally helps ride, handling , and durability, but changing to a different tire can have more of an effect than going up one size.

2)  Again I can't tell you if this actually fits in the fenderwell, but I personally prefer a higher aspect ratio.
