Tires: Tire Brand Info, dot number, private brand

I just went to wal-mart and had them put on a set of Douglas Xtra-Trac tires and i was wondering if you could possible tell me more about the douglas tire company i have ran into a dead end trying to find any info on the company?

I think you are going to find that Douglas is a private brand made by one of the major tire manufacturers.  This is a pretty common practice.

If you'll look for the DOT number I can tell you who manufactured the tire.  The DOT number is a 10 to 12 digit number (has letters, too!) near the letters "DOT".  What I'll need are the first 2 digits.
