Tires: Speed, citroen xsara picasso, pirelli p 2500 euro

Hi BARRY.I have a 2001 citroen xsara picasso 2.0 HDI.Citroen recommends 185/65 R15 88H,Would it be ok to use Pirelli P 2500 Euro all season tyres with an 88T speed capability instead.As i have no intentions of doing 130miles an hour.

In my opinion, this is not a good move.

1)  One of the things that comes along with speed rating is handling.  So you'll be changing the handling characteristics of the vehivle in a neagtive way.

2)  I've always been told to "overdesign / underutilize".  This would be reducing the utilization part of the equation in a negative way.  There must have been a reason Citroen specified H speed rated tires and I'm not in a position to understand everything about why they did it, so I'll defer to their expertise.
