Tires: racing tires, mustang cobra, radial tires

Is it true that radial tires should not be used for racing? Is there another tire product more suitable?  The vehicle being used is a 2004 Mustang, Cobra.

You should use tires that are apropriate for the type of racing you do.  And the guy who knows what's appropriate is going to be the tire manufacturer.

So my advice would be to ask the folks who make racing tires.

But off the top of my head, I would say that every tire manufacturer is going to say that tires designed for the street  are not to be used for racing.
