Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: Choosing a motorcycle, ninja 250, little ninja
QuestionHi Mr Roberson,
I would like to begin by thanking you for answering questions. I have rode motorcycles from the time I was in elementary school through college but I have not had one in about 5 years. I am interested in purchasing one again to save gas and I enjoy rididing. My question is, do you have one in particular you recommend? I will be riding back and forth to work (12 miles). I really like the styling of the Ninja and the used Ninja 250's seem to be in my price range of around $2500. I would also like a bike that is "user friendly" so that I can handle basic repairs and maintance.
Thank you,
Steven
AnswerSteven,
Thanks for the question.
I think you are on the right track with the Ninja 250. You have good skills already so that's not a problem. The little Ninja has a lot going for it: Good engine, good brakes, easy to ride, easy (and cheap) to care for. Unless you are a 300-pound linebacker, it should be perfect. I'd go with it.
Good luck, enjoy the ride!
