Motorcycle Safety & Driveability: Break in service, skilled mechanic, proper manuals

I was wondering if doing the break in service myself would be hard. As far as I know they change the oil, Adjust the idle speed and other such basic things. Is there anything hard? What is involved?

Thanks for the question, but I need a bit more info, such as, what bike do you have? It make a difference. Some bikes require very little service besides and oil change and so forth (like a Honda), while others are much more involved, (like a Ducati).

If you are a skilled mechanic and have proper manuals and tools, I'm sure you could do it. If you aren't, I'd leave it to the dealer.

But to tell you for sure, I need to know what bike you have.
