QuestionHello.
I own a 2003 Honda Accord LX with 77,738 miles on it and I'm definitely selling it prior to my move to Uruguay, but I am thinking about getting it fixed first. It has some scratches, scrapes, blemishes, and the paint is peeling off.
Is it worth getting it fixed up before selling it, thereby, increasing my chances of getting a good deal or would the body work actually cost more than selling it?
Best regards,
Abraham
AnswerHi Abraham
Scratches and small dents may be worth to fix, but your mention of paint peeling is kind of hard for me to answer without seeing the vehicle.
First impression " eye appeal " sells, if you can make vehicle more presentable for a couple hundred bucks along with a good wax job, go for it.
Another option,,, figure approximate amount to make vehicle 100%, and tell buyer for an extra $$$ I can fix following.
To figure what to ask for car, go autotrader.com and look for a 2003 Accord with same type miles, this will give you a good idea if investing X # dollars will be beyond the price compared to what other sellers are asking.
Good luck
