Jay:
I purchased a 2006 Ford Escape XLT 2WD odeometer reading 52,000 miles. The vehicle now has 55,254 miles. Do I need extended warranty protection? And , if so what should I look for in terms of coverage, exclusions and price?
Thank you for your attention.
Michael
AnswerHi Michael,
First let me say the Escape I consider the best SUV in it's class, excellent choice.
It's a good investment buying an extended warranty, but the problem here is unless you purchased this vehicle from a Ford dealer where Ford provided the warranty, only 3th party warranties become available, and that's risky business as 99% of these providers are scammers and don't honor claims.
Here is a link on my website that will explain further details http://www.usedcartips.org/warranty.html ,,, If you have been offered a warranty you will know how to track the name of the provider after reading the above link I provided.
