Used Cars: Ford Escape, actual condition, ford escape

Hi,
We are looking for a third car to have now that our kids are driving.  We have a Ford Escape and love it.  We have come across a 2002 Escape XLT that seems well maintained, etc.  The issue is it has 110,000 miles. The "asking" price is $8900.    In general without knowing actual condition, would you feel this is something to consider?

As for the miles and the vehicle, yes i would consider it, I am a big fan of the Escapes. Now the prices is absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion.  I just had an 02 Escape XLT with leather and only 77k miles that my asking price was $7950.  In my opinion it is worth about $5500..maybe $6500 if it was really nice and I would still have the vehicle checked out, just to make sure that it has been taken care of as well as it appears.
