Trucking: Start up, unsecured business loans, full time job

Like so many others, I purchased a tractor to start my own trucking business.  Like others again, I found out the hard way that banks do not give unsecured business loans for start up funding.  I have offered the truck as collateral. Let's say it is worth 60,000, I am asking for a 30,000 dollar loan and have a full time job making over 60,000.
Other than a loan shark where can I get a 30,000 loan.
I would pay back at 1,000 per month.

Hi Brad.

That's the million dollar question.  You have a better chance of getting financed on a Ferrari than getting a $50 loan for a trucking company.  Trucking companies disappear by the hundreds and banks don't like giving loans to them.  If you have a business plan, the Better Business Bureau can help.  Past that, I would look into leasing onto a company just long enough to get your company off the ground.
