Trucking: becoming a trucker, schnieder national, trucking industry
Questionhey, i'm 23 and just got out of the airforce, i have always wanted to be a trucker and can't decide whether to join back up with the airforce or try to get into the trucking industry, i have heard that it is a very well paying job, but long hours, i don't have a family and would want to get in as an OTR, what kind of qualifications do i need, where should i go to school, what should i expect to pay and are jobs going to be available to me? any and all info would be extremely helpfull
thanks,
Geoff
AnswerI can't make that desision for you, but you can try Schnieder National, Swift, P.A.M. and they will train you. after training, you will have to stay a year and they will not charge you for the training. you can make in your first year around 35 to 45K with benefits. Good Luck. Mike
