Trucking: icc numbers, mc number, commerece

Question
What exactly is an ICC number? Isn't that the same as a MC number? I thought all you had to operate as far as numbers go is your DOT and your MC.

Hi Travis, Yes the ICC Number is now called a MC Number. Since the D O T has replaced the Interstate Commerece Commission.  a DOT number is required go get an IRP truck tag and a MC Number is given when Federal Authority is given.  check out my web site: longdataser.com  J P Long
