QuestionI always start my truck with the steering column up. The last 2 days when in the upright position the truck won't start. Out of curiosity, today while driving down the road I put the steering wheel up and the truck died in the middle of the road. Any suggestions. Thanks
AnswerHi Dennis,
I am much more familiar with Chevy's, where the actual ignition switch is down on the steering column, and connected to the ignition switch by a rod.
The switch itself is adjustable on the column, and changes the relationship of the switch to the steering wheel, which could easily cause the symptoms you are describing.
See if yours has a similar arrangement.
Otherwise, I would suspect an intermittent open in a wire in the harness.
