QuestionI have a 1990 Ford Ranger with 4 wheel drive. 2.9 engine. Needs the right front "U" joint replaced. My Ranger has automtic 4 wheel drive switch and automatic wheel hub, with 5 speed transmission. Call you tell me how to get the front 4 wheel drive shaft out to replace the "U" joint.

I have done F150's thru F450's, but not a ranger.
I am pretty sure it is just like a F150.
You will need to remove the wheel, caliper hanger, rotor/hub, and then the spindle, and pull the axle through the hole.
Check the needle bearing inside the spindle, as well as the seal.
