Can any shop perform an alignment?

Not necessarily. While many automotive repair shops do offer alignment services, not all shops have the specialized equipment and expertise required to perform accurate alignments. A shop that focuses on tire alignment should have at least a state-of-the-art alignment machine, experienced technicians trained to use it properly, and up-to-date reference materials for the various make and models, they perform services.
