Where is the vin mumber located on a 51 chevy sedan ?

Answer
should be on the drivers door frame between the hinges.  Visible when the drivers door is open all the way.

It also may be on a tag on the firewall under the hood.

the frame has the VIN stamped on it, usually on the drivers side under about where the seat is or near the front by the engine.
