Vintage Cars: 1967 250sl auto on floor, rubber gasket, guage
QuestionI am having trouble removing the RPM gauge in the dash. I removed the cable, but I can't see the bracket and don't know how to release it? Any ideas?

AnswerI am not sure I understand, but I will give it a shot. If you are talking about a guage that is in the dash ( as in actually in its own location) then it is press fitted with a rubber gasket. THey can be quite difficult to remove and best done by pushing from behind. THe othe is a guage in a dashpod, in that case push the whole pod from behind and then remove the backing screws to get to the instruments
Hope that helps
