How can I trace the history on a 1967 Corvette when I have only the Vin and know what state it is titled?

Answer
The only on-line tracing available is for 1979 models and newer, which is when they switched to 17-digit VINs.  Do a Google or Yahoo! search for the state's motor-vehicle department, and see if they have any info available through the website, or at least a phone number you can call.
