Vintage Cars: packard, vin, chat room

Question
i have a 4 dr packard but no title. the vin is I292-7268 and the plate on the firewall has a date of I26 38. does this mean it is a 1938 model?

Packard didn't build cars in model years, they built them in "series" before WWII.  A series would last as long as the design, perhaps 1-4 years.  You need to find a Packard website like this one:

www.packardclub.org

You can look up info in the library, or ask your question in the chat room.  There are more Packard sites than just this one, but it's a good place to start.
