Vintage Cars: vin#, mercury monterey, classic mercury

I just bought a 1957 Mercury Monterey, all original with 43,700 miles. I'm trying to get info on where the car was built and other info through the vin #. I have not had any luck  at all. The serial #57WA14973M. Style #BAE64A. Body specs #24-752-L15-230. Any help would be a great help.

I have yet to find an online database or VINs of less than 17 digits, which went into effect for the 1979 model year.  You need to do a Google or Yahoo! search for "classic Mercury forums" or something similar.  Once you find them, you can post your question there to get an answer.
