Vintage Cars: 13digit VIN Searching, car forum, firebird

Trying to do a search on a 13 digit VIN for a 1968 Firebird. Any ideas who can do this? Thanks.

I get this question a lot, and unfortunately the answer is always the same.  The only online searches I know of are just for 17-digit formats (1979 and later model years).  You might try asking this question in an online classic-car forum and see if anyone in the hobby has a lead on this.
