Vintage Cars: L car, chrysler 300, coupes

Question
My neighbor who is 76 years old asked me if I could find out any info on the "L" car.  I never heard of it, but he said only a few (100 or so) were made and sold.  I would appreciate your help if you know what he is talking about.

I suppose he could be referring to almost ANYTHING, but the first thing that came to my mind was the 1965 Chrysler 300 L.  This was the last "letter-series" 300 model produced, 2,405 coupes and 440 convertibles.  That may be more than a 100 or so, but trust me- by Detroit standards, those are EXTREMELY low numbers.  If you can get more info as to the car he's talking about, I'll be happy to answer more questions on this.
