Vintage Cars: 69 beetle, mamotorworks, vw clubs

My green light went off on the beetle.  To my best of knowledge, its the oil light.  oil looked a bit low to i added  half a qt.  Still no change.  It needs a oil change and tune up.  Do you think it may be something else?

I don't have an owners manual for these cars, but there are several VW clubs around the country, and you might try calling Mid-America Motors in Effingham IL.  They have lots of books and parts for air-cooled VW's.  Here is their web site:
