The panic button on the key fob for your Honda Pilot is a useful resource. When you press this button, it activates an alarm on your vehicle. If you're ever in a situation where you need to summon help, pressing the panic button will draw attention to your vehicle. Unfortunately, the panic button may be too sensitive; the slightest touch of the button may trigger the alarm. If you find the button is more of a nuisance than a benefit, you may disable it at any time.
Wedge a flathead screwdriver into the seam of the key fob. Pry open the plastic case.
Remove the bottom half of the key fob and set it aside.
Hold the top half of the plastic case in your hand, with the buttons facing your palm.
Use the tip of your finger to gently lift the circuit board from the back of the rubber panic button. Set the circuit board aside.
Stick a piece of clear tape over the contacts on the back of the panic button.
Replace the circuit board and re-attach the bottom half of the key fob. Press down firmly on the key fob to close the case completely.
