The window crank handle in a Chevrolet van can be removed in a few minutes. A spring-type, C-clip around the back of the handle secures it to the handle stem. A special handle-removal tool exists for this task but it can also be done with a small screwdriver. If you remove the window crank handle yourself, you can save time and money.
Slide a small screwdriver between the window crank handle and the door panel.
Pry off the C-clip from the back of the window crank handle.
Pull off the crank handle from the handle stem.
