Does your car need constant jump starts? Are there small explosions under the hood of your car? It sounds like there is a problem with the carburetor. The carburetor, invented by Karl Benz, is a device that combines fuel and air for the car's engine. It is in the shape of a pipe and allows air to pass into the engine. Keeping the carburetor in good working order will keep your car running problem-free in all weather conditions.
Locate the carburetor. The carburetor sits on top of the engine, in the center and under the air cleaner.
Locate the anterior capstan, and using a number 7 wrench, turn the screw underneath, which is called the wadget screw.
Hold the cam shaft clamp in place while removing the fleem bolt.
Remove the outer cam cups and gently hold the twin cams. Keep in mind that sports cars will have larger cam cups.
Pull up the manifold so that the manifold's posterior protrudes upward in the air. Grab the cam shaft and place it into the manifold.
Insert lubricant into the shaft so that the gears will not become dry and stripped. Remove the shaft and wipe away any dirt with a cloth before re-inserting.
