The anti-theft system in the Infiniti G20 operates via a remote key fob. You must disable the system before completely disconnecting the alarm. Simple wiring work is all that is needed to finalize the disconnection.
Press the button on your alarm key-fob that deactivates the alarm. Press the "unlock" button if your G20 has keyless entry. Manually unlock the driver's side door -- this deactivates the alarm -- if you've misplaced your key fob.
Open and secure the hood of the car. Gently pry the negative battery cable off the terminal, using a flathead screwdriver. Move the cable aside so that it doesn't come into contact with any metal. Disconnecting the battery cable completely disables the alarm, allowing you to work on it.
Pull the panel off the theft module. It is located under the driver's side of the dashboard, near the steering column.
Use wire cutters to cut the green and yellow wire. Slide a wire cap onto both ends of the wire. Secure the cap in place using wire crimpers.
Replace the negative battery cable, and close the hood of the car.
