The AM5 is a car alarm brand that can be used on a variety of different vehicles. This alarm system is installed just below the steering column in the dashboard and is controlled with a wireless and hand-held remote. If your remote stops working, or if the system is malfunctioning, you can disconnect the system from this module in just minutes -- no professional experience required.
Enter your car and remove the dashboard panels underneath the steering column. Do this with a flat blade such as a knife and use the blade to pop the panels off. Afterward, they can be easily popped back in.
Locate the wire on the alarm system that is connected to your car's positive battery terminal. This will likely be indicated by a "+" next to the wire input.
Disconnect this wire to disable the alarm. Return the dashboard panels to use your car as normal.
