Some people prefer a traditional approach to driving, while others prefer all the modern bells and whistles. An example is rear visibility. Traditionalists prefer mirrors and non-traditionalists opt for rear-view cameras. If you're a traditionalist and want to disable the backup camera in your Toyota Tundra, you can do so in a few easy steps.
Turn off the Tundra and remove its keys.
Flip down the overhead console, then loosen and remove both screws holding it in place.
Unclip the harness and remove the overhead console to expose a harness with several wires.
Locate the single green wire and cut it.
Tape both ends of the wire so there is no connection between the ends.
Replace the overhead console, plug in the harness and tighten the screws.
