After several years of use, a battery within a keyless car remote control will become discharged. The battery must be replaced to reset the keyless car remote control. While each manufacturer uses a different size or type of battery, the procedure for replacing a dead keyless car remote control battery is generally similar across all manufacturers.
Remove the replacement battery from the packaging. Loosen the remote control retaining screw, and open the remote control cover.
Remove the old battery. Insert the new battery.
Replace the remote control cover, and tighten the remote control retaining screw.
