Installing a new exhaust tip is a great way to instantly and inexpensively transform the appearance of your car's exhaust system. One of the most common exhaust tips is a bolt-on exhaust tip, which, as the name implies, simply slides onto the existing exhaust pipe and is then fastened with bolts.
Remove the old exhaust tip, if any.
Clean the exhaust pipe with a rag and some degreaser.
Slide the new exhaust tip over the exhaust pipe. Position the tip where you think it looks best, sliding the tip further on to attain the proper fitment.
Tighten the bolts that hold the tip on. These will either be straps that are tightened with a bolt or a series of bolts (usually three) that go through the tip and tighten against the exhaust pipe.
Stand back and admire your handiwork.
