Fading lighting is a problem, and if you have a vehicle with yellowed or scratched plastic headlights, it can be a hazard. So how do you make headlights look like new? The answer is a polishing job using a few special tools.
Mask off the lens using the masking tape. You want to surround the lens, and protect the sheet metal so that it doesn't get damaged.
Attach the wool pad that comes with the kit onto the drill by placing it in the chuck and tightening.
Apply the polish that comes with the kit onto the wool pad, making sure to just put on a little bit at a time. Applying too much will get polish everywhere.
Place the wool pad onto the lens and turn on the drill. Work the polish around the lens.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the lens is clean and all of the scratches are gone.
Wipe off any excess polish using the microfiber towel. Then remove the masking tape from the vehicle.
