In 1995, just two years into its production life, the Altima received a mild refresh that included a revised grille, taillights and wheels. Under its hood, however, the relatively powerful 2.4-liter, 150-horsepower, four-cylinder engine remained the only available engine. This engine made the Altima significantly more powerful than its two main competitors, the Honda Civic and Dodge Neon.
On the 1995 Nissan Altima's 2.4-liter engine, the firing order is 1-3-4-2 and the distributer rotates counterclockwise. From the passenger's side to the driver's side, the cylinders are numbered 1-2-3-4.
