The Infiniti G20 is considered a mid-size semi-luxury sedan. There are times when you may need to access the electronics behind the dash. You can remove the dashboard from your Infiniti G20 using just a few tools obtained from any hardware or auto parts store. This job requires no mechanical experience, and you should be able to remove the dash in about an hour and a half. To avoid damage to the interior of the Infiniti, ask a friend to help you maneuver the dash out the passenger's door.
Remove the negative cable from the negative battery terminal using a wrench. Set the cable on a towel to keep it from touching metal.
Remove the screws underneath the glove box with a Phillips screwdriver. Open the door to the glove box and remove the screws inside. Remove the glove box from the dashboard by pulling it out.
Remove the radio's faceplate by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. Pull the radio forward and unplug the electrical connectors behind it.
Open the side doors and find all the screws and bolts on the top, sides and bottom part of the dash. Remove them with a screwdriver or socket wrench.
Pull the dash forward and unplug the electrical connectors behind it.
Lift up on the dash and slide it out the passenger's side door as your friend helps to pull it out from outside the car.
