Some models of the Nissan Maxima are equipped with a cabin air filter that blocks dust, pollen and allergens from entering the passenger compartment. Nissan recommends replacing this filter every 10,000 miles or at least once per year. A clean cabin air filter will keep the air in the passenger area cleaner and will improve air circulation throughout the air conditioning system.
Slide the two pins out that are located along the bottom hinge of the glove compartment.
Open the glove compartment.
