The Chevy Tahoe is a full-size SUV, manufactured by the Chevrolet division of General Motors, since the 1992 model year. As of November, 2010, it remains in production. It is available in a number of variations, including a hybrid version, introduced in the 2008 model year. Regardless of the exact version you own, your 2007 Tahoe needs a reliable battery for proper operation.
Put the vehicle in "Park." Turn off the radio and lights. Turn off the engine, and remove the keys.
Release the hood, using the hood release lever. It is located on the driver's side of the vehicle, to the left of, and below, the steering wheel.
Locate the battery on the passenger side of the vehicle, near the rear of the engine compartment.
Disconnect the strap that holds the battery in place.
Loosen, and remove, the negative cable, using the adjustable wrench. The negative cable is black and marked with a "-" symbol.
Loosen, and remove, the positive cable, using the adjustable wrench. The positive cable is and marked with a "+" symbol.
Lift the defective battery from the Tahoe, and discard, in accordance with your local laws.
Clear any dirt and debris from the battery tray. Use the wire brush to clean the battery cable ends.
Put the new battery in the battery tray; it must face the correct direction.
Reconnect the strap that holds the battery in place.
Reconnect the positive cable to the positive battery terminal.
Reconnect the negative cable to the negative battery terminal.
Close the Tahoe hood, and test the new battery.
