Nissan's flagship sedan, the Maxima, uses an internal computer to remind you when it's time to bring the vehicle in for service. The dash displays a "Service" light when this interval passes. Reset the service indicator to turn off the light after having your scheduled maintenance performed. It will not re-appear until your next service interval.
Insert your key and either crank your engine or turn the ignition to "On."
Press and hold the button labeled "Maint." This button is on your control panel, beneath the button labeled "Settings."
Hold the "Maint" button for 2 seconds to reset the service indicator. Turn the ignition off.
