Although a mechanic will usually top off your Accord's windshield washer fluid during oil changes and checkups, doing it yourself is inexpensive and quick. All you need is a funnel and some spare fluid and you're ready to go.
Place your Accord in "Park" and turn off the engine.
Engage the car's parking brake and remove the keys from the ignition for safety.
Pull on the hood release latch located beneath the dashboard and to the left of the steering column.
Walk around to the front of your Accord and run your fingers along the gap beneath the hood. Reach directly under its center to find the auxiliary release latch.
Lift the support rod out of its restraining clip and tuck it into the appropriate hole along the underside of the hood. If you're driving a 2008 V6 Accord, the hood will hold itself up.
Find the blue-capped windshield washer fluid reservoir on the left side of the engine compartment beneath the red-capped power steering fluid reservoir.
Open the reservoir cap and place a funnel into the opening.
Pour the additional washer fluid into the reservoir until it's nearly full. Then, top it off with a few drops of fluid to make sure it's completely full.
Remove the funnel, close the reservoir cap and lower the hood.
