As simple -- and important -- as learning to remove a tire is, some people are intimidated by the worry that they might damage the car. Following these simple steps will give you an easy guide to removing a tire from a Nissan or any other vehicle without worry.
Lift the vehicle using the jack and secure it on jack stands. Be sure the vehicle is completely secure on the jack stands.
Place the flathead screwdriver behind the edge of the hubcap on the tire and use some leverage to pop it off. If your vehicle has a tool for removing the hubcap in the spare tire kit, use that tool instead.
Place the tire iron over a lug nut and turn the tire iron counter-clockwise to remove the nut. Repeat this process for each nut on the wheel until the wheel is completely unbolted from the hub.
Pick up the tire with both hands at the sides and pull it off of the rotor.
