Having a dependable navigation system onboard our four-wheel rigs makes traveling cross-country or negotiating remote trails easier and safer, while also allowing us to store maps and waypoints for future reference.
The larger HDS system displays are easy to read, and backlight adjustment is simple. Soft keys along the side and bottom of the device make scrolling through the applications and maps easy. The maps always show topography, and this can be switched between 2D and 3D. The HDS also shows speed, heading, engine performance, distance to destination, and distance traveled.
The Lowrance HDS high-definition nav systems are marine-grade units that are as trick as they come. The easy-to-read SolorMax Plus VGA displays are available in 10-, 8-, 7-, and 5-inch sizes. The HDS systems offer a number of cool features like real-time NOWRad weather radar from Sirius satellite radio, WAAS accuracy, and land and water navigation with detailed mapping. The HDS system is one of the gadgets we couldn't wait to play with every time we jumped in our 4x4.
