Torn, discolored or missing door panels can ruin the look of an otherwise good interior. Since reproduction door panels are available at affordable prices for nearly any car worth restoring or hot rodding, there is no reason not to swap the old and tattered for the new and nice. To illustrate how easy such a swap can be, we pulled some tuck n roll out of a 68 Nova and applied C.A.R.S., Inc. skins to the inside of the doors.
On this generation Nova and 68-81 Camaros, the door panel must be stretched over and attached to the windowsill. The door panels on most other cars slip into a metal trim piece near the top of the door, making removal and replacement easier and more straightforward.
