Come here, dummy, weve got something to tell you. Its no secret that interior mods are all the rage. It used to be that a modified car would only consist of exterior styling and engine performance gains, alongside one incredible stereo system pumping out more thumping power than any porn weve ever seen. But with aftermarket tuners creeping up left and right, the public has been inundated with more exterior modifications then can be stuffed in their collective noggins and a plethora of interior mods that go miles beyond astronomical stereo systems. Anything living in the interior of a car is no longer safe from aftermarket products, and this holds especially true of late-model tuning.
Take, for example, a Mk IV Jetta. With little more than a single phone call and a couple hours of work, the interior can be transformed into a show-stopper with minimal effort. To put this statement to the test, we took a Mk IV Jetta to MOMO and, a couple hours later, walked out with proof that our theory was indeed correct.
The mods we chose included the F-16 MOMO shift knob, the leather shift boot, the complete Superturismo MOMO pedal set, the MOMO four-point harness with shoulder pads, and a set of MOMO doorsills. The installation was so painless, even a dummy could complete the process. To prove that fact, we drafted the services of one of our ace dummy staffers to supervise the install. Although he showed up for the install in full race garb, he came back to the office with a great portrait of himself and proceeded to shuffle out the door before we could get him to write a word. Dummy.
