Stereo system upgrade time! Take your car audio out of the dark ages by dropping in some new Pioneer technology. The electronics maker is flush with a bevy of fresh releases, including 11 new speaker sets from its TS-A line, seven new receivers, and the company’s first five-channel amplifier.

The GM-D9605 amp is small enough to fit just about anywhere but flexible enough for any number of setups. It’s rated at 2000 watts max, with the A and B channels rated at 75 watts (RMS) x 4 and the subwoofer output rated at 350 watts (RMS). Other features on the five-channel GM-D9605 include variable crossover networks, a Bass Boost Remote, and speaker level inputs.

For the highest of highs and lowest of lows, Pioneer’s next generation of TS-A series speakers might be the ticket. TS-A speakers have been designed to replace a vehicle’s factory-installed speakers, and updated features include: rigid Multilayer Mica Matrix Cone structures; new tweeters; new mesh grille design for all 6 x 9 models; new spider design that incorporates the same material used in the PRS series of high-end component speakers; and cooling baskets with air vents.

Last but not least, Pioneer introduced six new CD receivers and one digital media receiver for 2016 – the DEH-X6800BT, DEH-X5800HD, DEH-X4800BT, DEH-X3800S, DEH-X3800UI, and DEH-X2800UI CD receivers, and the MVH-X380BT CD-free digital media receiver. They feature new cosmetic designs and a variety of smartphone-centric technologies and entertainment options including advanced Bluetooth® functionality, Android Open Accessory Protocol (AOA) 2.0 support for Android™ and Android Media Transfer Protocol, Siri® Eyes Free functionality, simple Pandora® station creation, USB Auto Switch, and MIXTRAX®.

The GM-D9605 amplifier will be available in September with a suggested retail price of $350. TS-A series speakers – available in 3-, 4-, and 5-way configurations, as well as 2-way component sets, with MSRPs between $80 and $150 – will go to market in September and November at authorized retailers. Finally, Pioneer’s new CD receivers will be available in August with suggested retail prices of: $120 (DEH-X6800BT), $110 (DEH-X5800HD), $110 (DEH-X4800BT), $110 (DEH-X3800S), $100 (DEH-X3800UI), and $90 (DEH-X2800UI).
