How low can you go? If you own a Honda S2000 roadster and run Air Lift Performance’s new suspension kit for both the AP1 and AP2 chassis, the answer is a remarkable four inches, at least – FOUR INCHES (let that sink in). We were equally impressed with Air Lift’s claim that the setup was designed on the racetrack, something frankly we don’t hear enough of when it comes to air suspensions.

Air Lift also tested components to one million cycles (equivalent to approximately 100,000 miles) on its hydraulic test rig at temperatures from -30 degrees Fahrenheit to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. And in addition to the lab and circuit workouts, the suspension was developed via thousands of miles of on-road testing.

At each corner Air Lift employs a progressive rate, sleeve-style air spring mated to a 30-level adjustable, threaded body, monotube shock. Red anodized, T6061 aluminum upper mounts house spherical bearings, and each spring/shock combo features a remote damping adjuster. The system reportedly delivers 4 inches of drop up front and 4.7 inches in the back.
