Unfortunately, over time these caps tend to crack and become the source of your next water leak. The better option is to remove the factory metal fitting, thread the hole and plug it off. Here’s how it’s done.

Tools Needed: Drill, 5/16"drill bit, 1/8-27 NPT tap, Teflon tape or paste, bench vice, vise grips
