After driving in the Eclipse, we noticed it was difficult to see at night. Looking at the yellowish hue cast in front of the car, we saw the factory headlights weren’t up to par. We picked up a high intensity discharge (HID) kit from S.I.X. Autoworks to brighten things up—these are the bright headlights with a light blue tint you see on most of the newer cars. The only problem was that our factory pop-ups had sealed beam headlights, which meant that we had to pick up a lens conversion to make it work.

Install Time: 20 minutes

Tools Needed: Jack stands, jack, ratchet, socket (21mm), torque wrench
We wanted to stay within budget, but every car needs a set of aftermarket wheels so we searched through the thousands of wheels available from Discount Tire Co. and came up with the Drifters from MB. We stayed with the stock 16x7 size and then slapped on a set of NT555 tires from Nitto to help us gain traction.
| 1. Loosen all the lugs using a 21mm socket and jack up the car to put it on stands. | 2. Put the MB Drifter wheels on and tighten down the lugs with a 21mm socket. Torque them down to 80lb-ft.
