Product Spotlight: Banks iQ Dashboard PC/Vehicle Management System
Reportedly under development for two years, the Banks iQ dashboard PC can be used as a stand-alone vehicle management system and in conjunction with the Banks Diesel Tuner and/or SpeedBrake. The iQ made its official production debut at the 2009 SEMA show. With its 5-inch, color touch-screen display and detailed interface, the iQ allows for a wide range of expansion and customizability. - Controlling downhill cruising speeds (with SpeedBrake)
- Adjusting braking power
- Custom tuning numerous performance parameters
- Measuring vehicle performance
- Reading altitude and GPS corrected speed
- Reading and clearing codes
- Logging data, measuring horsepower, acceleration, etc.
- Selecting gauges, setting alarms, adjusting colors and displays (753,984 possible screen configurations)
Besides providing on-the-fly tuning, the iQ can also open Microsoft Office documents and play music, movies, and games, just like a PC. Be sure to exercise the latter with caution.
